Phoenix officeworker Marion Crane is fed up with the way life is treating her. She went to meet a lover Sam in lunch breaks and they can not get married because Sam has most of his money in maintenance. One Friday Marion is trusted bank $ 40,000 by her employer. As an opportunity to take the money and start a new life, Marion leaves town and heads towards Sams store California.
